Why Do I Blog?

Motivation For Blogging
John Wesley at Pick the Brain has tagged me to answer the question of, why do I blog? Here’s my response.
My primary motivation for blogging probably stems from my insatiable curiousity. I latch onto a topic of interest and then I’m bursting with the desire to share some of the knowledge I’ve acquired. So it surely stems from more selfish reasoning - the desire to have a platform and open a communication with others.
My blog is definitely a creative endeavor. It’s very difficult for me to stay on one topic for too long. I become restless and need to stir things up a bit.
I usually have a general idea of what I’d like to write about before actually writing an article. But I also allow enough room for concepts to evolve in a direction of their own without trying to censor too much.
Since my blog is more creative-based, it’s hard to paint myself into a particular niche sometimes. Hopefully this won’t frusterate my readers too much if they see me going off in some zany directions.
As long as I’m writing from the heart, I see it as worthwhile to continue pursuing. Once my passion fades, then I know a particular project has run its course.
And if one person comes away from my blog knowing a tiny tidbit of info they may not have known before visiting, that’s surely a satisfying motivation to continue as well!
I’m more prone to write topics I’m naturally drawn toward, rather than trying to cater to a specific audience. Admittedly, I do write primarily for myself.
I’m such a selfish little sucker.
=^..^=
Amanda at Young and Broke, Nik at The Air, Stephanie at Poorer Than You, Jane May and John Anthony at CareerRamblings; are you ladies and gents willing to bare your souls on this one?
I’m going to go ahead and tag Adam at Adam’s Peace as well, because his blog is looking so yummy!

I have the same problem sticking to a niche. It’s difficult unless you are a clear cut specialist in something. I always want to write about what’s on my mind. Hopefully, it will be interesting enough that people will find it worth reading anyways.
Thanks for accepting the tag.
hmmmm, bare my soul as to why I blog??? This maybe the longest thing I ever write!
I’ll try and come up with something in the near future.
Thanks for the mention!
Considering that I’ve slated Wednesdays to be solely on the topic of inner peace, which also happens to be one of the main reasons why I blog, you’ll have your answer tomorrow.
Just a warning, though: It will be long.
I don’t think you are being selfish at all. Share that creativity!
