		<description>I just visited this weekend. I&#039;ve been of the opinion that the first - and most &quot;controversial&quot; - guideline doesn&#039;t mean to cut down the population, but rather advice not to go past this number once these guidestones actually become necessary in rebuilding a civilization.  If it gets to the point where these stones are required in order to tell time or figure out the planet&#039;s relation to the sun, chances are something has already reduced the planet&#039;s population.</description>
