I read the post about your friend going to MI. I went to MI back in 1988. Best time of my life, made lots and lots of friends, that even now, over 20 years later, I still keep in touch with. He'll never regret it, make contacts that will last a lifetime, and get to hang with some of the top talent in the biz. So yeah, way to go on the DR! You will get there -- as someone who is debt and mortgage free by being slightly unconventional (hand-built our own log home, grow our own food, etc. etc.) I can tell you that there is nothing like the freedom from debt feeling!
